To tell you something about us, the Kingfisher Lodge in Kichwamba thought of something different and decided to share a talk with the Director.

- • With what did you start building KLK?
- "We started with testing the design of the bandas by building the new Familyunits using the local materials that are in the region."
- • Who owns KLK?
- "It's a Family owned business, so the Family Fischer"
- • When did you open KLK?
- "1.7.2006"
- • Has KLK benefited its neighbours?

"There are a number of things:
- Labour
- using local material in building
- giving educative ideas to the locals eg. how and what business to start
- supported local women football team
- craftshop will be run by local groups
- infrastructure development ( like water conection, electricity poles)
- Boasted accommodation that raced the numbers of park entries. 20% of that goes to the local communities. Local taxes pay a persentage of hospitals, schools etc.
- • With what vision did you start KLK?
- "To provide affortable accommodation for people who want to visit QENP [Queen Elizabeth National Park] with a beautiful location."
- • Why did you choose on such a vision (community services)?
- "To bring business ideas to people by starting a project in such a location"
- • Which activities has Klk done so far in relation to accomplishing its vision?
- "All the facilities for the Hotel are in place. The last stages are only for expansion."
