Kingfisher Safaris Resort is situated at the shore of Lake Victoria near the Source of the Nile in the east of Uganda. There are different ways to come to our place:
By car
- Kampala to Kingfisher 2 hours drive: Take the road to Jinja. Before you reach the Owen Falls branch off to your right at Nile Breweries Limited and follow the signs. 5.5 km from Kampala road.
- Kenyan boarder (Busia) to Kingfisher 2 hours drive:
- Follow the sign going to Kampala, after the Owen Falls Dam branch off to your left and follow the signs.
Our sign posts are yellow with black letters.
By boat
- From Source of the Nile or landing site former Sailing club (both in Jinja) instruct the Boatman to take you to Kingfisher Safaris Resort (appr. 30,000/=).
By puplic transport
- Get out at Nile Breweries Jinja (Njeru) and take a motorcycle taxi (boda boda) to Kingfisher (appr. 2,500/=).
