Kingfisher Safaris Resort in Jinja
- The Kingfisher Safaris Resort is situated at the shore of Lake Viktoria, near the river Nile in eastern Uganda. It does not intend to grow big and get involved in mass tourism. Instead, we offer an exclusive, family, environmentally and culturally friendly tourism.
- Our vision is that the community around us benefits from our being in the country. We target the families in Uganda and east Africa to have a peaceful and enjoyable stay with us.
Accommodation
- Bandas
Like our , the accommodation at Kingfisher Safaris Resort depicts ancient Africa especially Uganda. Bandas are built in an African village style resembling typical huts that existed in former times. However, the Bandas “huts” are made comfortable to meet western standards. The nature of the Bandas remind guests of the houses of people lived in long ago in addition to reminding the non residents, that they are in Uganda, the Pearl of Africa.- We have 6 double rooms, 4 family units, 2 suites, 2 twin and 28 single rooms. Family units have 2 rooms with a connecting door, twin rooms are double rooms with 2 single beds in it. Thus we can accommodate approximately up to 96 people at our resort. Our meeting room allows workshops and seminars in a friendly atmosphere.

The Restaurant
- The Restaurant has a variety of menus. It is open by 7.00am with either breakfast menu for resident guests, camping breakfast menu or a Breakfast Buffet if there are more than ten guests in the rooms. For the other meals like lunch and dinner, there is a Standard menu which includes the starter, main course, dessert and some snacks. In this case, a client pays for what he/she orders from the Menu.
- In case of large group, a Buffet is proposed. For this case there is a special menu which ranges from 25,000= to 40,000=. And also for seminars, there is a special seminar menu. The Dishes at KFS range from local, German, English to French. They try to accomplish their vision as evidenced in their relatively low costs that is between 12,000/= - 26,000/= for main courses and 3000/= - 16,000/= for snacks.
Pool
Our Pool has become an attraction for the tourists because of its unique design and even there is a babypool for your kids. The large botanical gardens invite our guests to relax and simply enjoy the harmonic atmosphere in our resort . Bar Kingfisher Safari Resort has a variety of non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks. Try our fresh juices or one of the various cocktails either at the pool bar which opens from 8.00am and closes by 11.00pm every day.
Beach Bar
- When customers come to the reception to inquire about bringing a large group for example students coming for picnic, they are advised to occupy the Beach Bar since they always come with systems like music which may inconvenience guests in the rooms and some day guests who com for relaxing and may not need noise. Note that all music is to be off by 7.00pm.The Beach Bar has got a well built structure where food and drinks can be served. Its compound has got tables for seating for small working groups, and also some umbrella and trees that provide shades.It is only stocked if there is a buffet, function or BBQ which is about 80m - 100m away from the main Bar.Though it is of value to know that before the Beach Bar is used, there is always a venue charge of 3,000= per adult and 1,500 per child especially for those who carry with them their food and drinks.
Large Gardens
Gardens spacious enough with tables for small working groups especially during seminars are part of KFS premises. These green, quiet cool breezed aired gardens create a favorable atmosphere for parties, fellowships and meetings given the small working group tables within the gardensCorkage is not levied at KFS. - BBQ is also possible on prior order.

- Venue charge is 3000 UGX and 1500 UGX for adults and children respectively. The above charges only apply if food and drinks are to be brought from out. However, if a group exceeds 45 PAX, discounted charges are 2500 UGX and 1000 UGX for adults and children respectively.
Children's Playground
- This offers leisure and relaxing moments to guests’ children and sometimes with their children since work without play makes a child dull. The playground has a sand pond, swings, spring zebras, slides and more equipment which help to develop the child’s fine motoric plus balance. It should be noted that the playground is sometimes used for camping especially if the main camping ground is fully occupied.
Conference Facilities
- Being endowed with a fairly large conference hall, KFS hosts meetings, conferences, workshops, seminars and retreats. The conference is of 100 PAX capacity. Seminar charges cover use of flip chart stands. . Where a BBQ is required, it’s at an additional cost.

- Of course we also have got secure parking place for your cars, motorcycles and bikes with tight security to protect your items.
